We drove to echo park to the home of the LA Derby Dolls to watch my first roller derby. It was a special afternoon call the baby doll brawl and it featured the up and coming skaters and the junior dolls some were as young as 7 :)<br/> We had a great time watching, cheering and doing Mexican waves, it was awesome. I also had my first cotton candy, it was strawberry kiwi flavor and was on a glow stick! On Monday we each took a flower to make a bouquet. On Tuesday we each took some fruit to make a basket. On Wednesday we had to take a homemade treat so we made Granola. Today we took school supplies to make a big box full and tomorrow we have to bring a homemade thank you card here’s mine for Mrs. C and Miss Jackie. And a picture of me with the flowers I chose for each of them. Today I was very excited because it was my five-and-a-half birthday! Mummy and Daddy kept trying to tell me that half-birthdays are just regular days, but I don’t believe them. So, here’s some pics of my afternoon: a visit to Polliwog Park, and then the dentist!</p> <p>At the weekend it was Mother’s Day, so we all went for a mini-vacation in Palm Springs. We stayed at a lovely hotel called the Riviera, and it had the one thing I was interested in most of all; a swimming pool! I had been very excited all week to go and spend the whole time in a pool, so that’s what we did. The weather was very hot indeed - it reached 104 degrees on Sunday! Good job we had that lovely pool to cool down in! We also had lots of tasty food, including a wonderful breakfast in the hotel, and I slept on an a sofa that turned into a bed! Today I took part in my first ever show - it was a gymnastics show! Most of the kids from my gymnastics class took part, and we had to perform all the moves we’ve learned in front of all the grown-ups. I was a little nervous, but I did a really good job and, when it was all over, we all got a trophy! Afterwards, Mummy and Daddy surprised me by driving to the ice cream shop for a post-show celebration. I had strawberry ice cream with sprinkles and gummi-bears.
