Halloween!
Trick or treat! Last night was Halloween, a night I’ve been looking forward to for weeks! I decided a long time ago that I was going to be a purple butterfly for Halloween, and Mummy worked very hard to make my purple tutu and sparkly antennae. At the weekend we carved and decorated our pumpkins, and Mummy and Daddy also got wings to wear, so we’d all match! Last night we headed over to my friend Isabel’s, as usual, to do our trick-or-treating. Isabel was dressed as Thing 2, her little sister Kate was Thing 1, and her grandma was the Cat in the Hat! We headed out into the busy streets - it was very dark - and knocked on lots of doors. I was very brave this year, and was always the first to ring the bell and shout ‘Trick or Treat!’ at the top of my voice. At one house, they were a little slow coming to the door, so I yelled ‘Is anyone home?!’ until they opened up!
We all had a great time, and I got lots of candy in my cauldron! When we came home I was allowed to keep five things, then the rest was left out for the Switch Witch to take in exchange for a present. She left me a book!
