December, Part Six: Christmas Day (cont.)
December, Part Five: Christmas Day!
Hooray! Christmas Day was awesome! When I woke up I found that Santa had left a stocking full of fun little presents hanging on my bedroom door, and he’d left some for Mummy and Daddy too! We opened our stocking presents in bed, then went down to see if he’d eaten his snacks and drunk his drinks. He had!
I soon found the huge pile of presents, and right there on the top was a bag with my brown baby doll in it! I was very excited indeed! I decided to name her Emily, or Emma for short.
After spending most of the morning opening presents and talking with the family on the computer, we had a wonderful Christmas lunch that Mummy prepared, with turkey, lots of lovely veggies and potatoes, and little rolls of bacon. I think they must be Daddy’s favourite, because he kept eating them, even before dinner was ready!
Afterwards we drove up the road to Manhattan Beach and took a walk on the pier. It was a beautiful afternoon, and we were there in time to watch the sun set over the ocean. Once the sun went down it got a little chilly, so we headed home for one last play with my new toys, and reading some of my new Christmas books before bed. It was a lovely Christmas Day!
Bye for now!
Fifty Months
Hello all! I’ve had another busy month, what with Xmas and New Year (more updates to come on that!), and this week I went back to school too! I’ve had a bit of a cold recently, so I missed soccer class on Monday, but I did go to swimming, and i started my new ballet class too, so all was not lost!
Here’s a photo of me hanging out at Pollywog - still one of my favorite places! Bye for now!
December, Part Four
We heard about a neighbourhood nearby that people call Candy Cane Lane, because all the people who live there decorate their houses for Xmas in a big way! We took a stroll around the streets and it was incredible! People even had stalls outside their houses selling popcorn and cookies and hot chocolate. I had some popcorn :)
On Christmas Eve, I made mince pies with my Dad, and we had our traditional home-made Christmas Eve pizza. We even pulled crackers! After dinner we took a walk around the block to look at the lights, and I sprinkled reindeer food on the lawn so that Santa would be able to find our house. We left out lots of snacks for him too. Because we are a trans-Atlantic household, we left cookies and milk (American), and whisky and a mince pie (British). I bet Santa really enjoyed coming to our house!
December, Part Three
A couple of weeks ago the annual Manhattan Beach snowfest was held by the beach, and I went along for my own now-traditional ‘do as much sledding as possible’ fest! I went down so many times I lost count!
Afterwards we met up with my friend Isabel and went back to her Grandma’s house for dinner, then watched the fireworks show from her balcony. Such a fun day!
December, Part Two
SANTA!
We went to visit Santa at the Grove, where he had a special little house and some helpers. We had to stand in line for a long time, but it was worth it. I told Santa about the things I wanted for Christmas, and he asked if I’d been a good girl. Of course, I said YES!
December, Part One
Earlier this month my school chums and I took part in the annual San Pedro Holiday Parade! It was a lot of fun. Mummy and Daddy decorated my scooter and I had reindeer antlers on my helmet! As you can see, I also like to lead from the front!

Forty-Nine Months!
Hello all! Unfortunately I spent the day at home with a bad cold, so I missed school the last couple of days. Thankfully Mummy has kept me busy with fun things like Lego, crafts and this awesome gingerbread house, which we made this afternoon!
Hopefully I’ll feel better tomorrow, as it is the last day of school before Christmas, and Santa is due to visit.
Bye for now!
